In this semester, students will be introduced to basics of Python programming.

Software: Code Combat & Python IDLE

Pre-requisite: None

Course Duration: 24-30 Classes (6-7 Months Approx)

What Will You Learn?
  • Students will learn the basics of Python coding in Python Shell and IDLE (Integrated Development and Learning Environment) and learn concepts such as Loops, Strings, Functions and conditions.

Here we will learn how to write our first Python program.

Variables
We will learn about Python variables and how to use them

Strings
In the previous chapter, we already have used strings without consciously knowing it. In this chapter, we will define Strings and do something interesting with them.

Lists
Here, we will learn about lists in Python

Loops
Here, we will learn about different types of Loops

Drawing in Python with Turtle
Here, we will learn how to draw in python using Turtle

Conditionals (If, Else, Elif)
Here, we will learn about conditional statements

Functions
Here, we will learn what are Functions in Python and their uses.
