21st Century
Space is the new ‘Silicon valley’. Space tech is an industry which is valued at $440 Billion and expected to grow into a few trillion dollars creating 2.5 million jobs within a few years. India holds 2% of the share in the global space business and is expected to grow to 10% in the near future. With opening of the private sector, ISRO sees start-ups as the new industry partners, the potential future players who can contribute to the space economy and will work closely with the Indian space department to become more competitive with other global space players. This will also encourage foreign companies to tie up with Indian companies in the space sector. Evidently a sector this promising requires skilled professionals and budding young minds to work together towards a sustainable goal.
